Another beloved tradition is the Al-Musaharati, who walks through alleys and neighborhoods, knocking on doors and calling out residents’ names in a melodic and witty manner. The Musaharati doesn’t ask for payment, performing this task as an act of devotion. Residents typically offer food and sweets, and at the end of the month, they give him cash as a token of appreciation and gratitude.
